2 types of coconut oil:
Virgin coconut oil is processed by removing from coconut milk. This is known as wet extraction. Basically, it’s free of refining.
On the other hand, refined coconut oil is done in a more complicated process. Copra oil from the dried flesh of coconut is extracted and undergone through chemical refining, then bleaching and deodorizing. This is not advisable to take for heart health as important compounds, such as antioxidants and phenols, are eliminated during the process.
